Case Study
This case study presents data from an OPALs Field Trial carried out over two days in July 2025. A total of 78 ground workers were involved in discussions on four different house building sites. The discussions covered three key risk areas:

1) Deep excavations
2) Risks arising from lifting loads

3) Risks to workers working adjacent to large construction plant

Comments and insights from workers were captured and structured in the form of a mind map. This mind map was later analysed using the OPALs matrix. The visualisation below allows you to search through the mind maps and examine the matrices created.
